Bernie Ryan, of counsel to James, Smith, Dietterick and Connelly, LLP, is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and the Temple University School of Law where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Temple Law Quarterly. At JSDC Bernie practices in the areas of estate planning and administration and administrative agency law. He was, for many years, the managing partner of the Harrisburg office of a large Philadelphia law firm. In 1989, Bernie was nominated by Governor Casey and confirmed by the Pennsylvania Senate to be Pennsylvania's first Small Business Advocate. He served in that position until 2001 when he joined JSDC.
