Courtney Kishel Powell, an attorney with James, Smith, Dietterick and Connelly, LLP, is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Widener University School of Law. Courtney is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania state courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. At JSDC her practice focuses on the areas of family law including divorce, custody, support, protection from abuse and adoptions. Her criminal law work focuses on juvenile defense work and appeals on Children and Youth determinations. In addition to her work at JSDC she is the chair of the Young Lawyers division of the Dauphin County Bar Association and a member of that organization’s Family Law division. She is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
